FAQ – APP Membrane

What is an APP membrane ?

It is a multi-layer bituminous waterproofing membrane.

What is the membrane made of ?

• A center carrier of reinforced polyester (very strong with excellent stretching performance) • Two layers of polymer-modified bitumen for waterproofing • A top layer of ceramic chips for protection against UV rays and atmospheric agents • A bottom heat-sensitive film to facilitate sticking during blowtorch application

How is it fixed ?

• A coat of bituminous and anti-dust Verbit Primer is applied to enhance membrane adhesion • The membrane is then applied using a blowtorch for total waterproofing.

What is the lifespan of the membrane ?

Expected to last 40 to 50 years with good performance, unless tampered with, damaged by wear and tear, or affected by structural faults in the building.

Do you give guarantees and under what conditions ?

• 10-year guarantee backed by an international insurance policy on materials • Workmanship guarantee if we perform the application, subject to structural soundness and other conditions

What colors do you keep in stock?

Dark grey only.

What other colors are available?

Red, White, Green, and Brown (available on special order).

What are the horizontal and vertical overlaps?

What are the horizontal and vertical overlaps? • Side overlaps: 7.5 cm • End overlaps: minimum 15 cm

What kind of surface is required for fixing the membrane?

Any flat surface (concrete, tongue & groove, any board, etc.) properly shaped to ensure good drainage.

What size is the roll?

1 meter by 10 meters.

What is the coverage of one roll?

Approximately 8.7 square meters (accounting for overlaps and minimal wastage).

Several layers of fine materials pressed into different profiles and sealed with an exclusive polymer coating.

Do they fade ?

No, the stone-coated chips resist fading and UV penetration, making them environmentally friendly and safe for harvesting rainwater.

What is the size and actual coverage ?

• Size: 370 mm by 1340 mm • Actual coverage (including overlaps): 370 mm by 1270 mm • Approximately 2.13 tiles are required per square meter.

Do they come in different profiles and colors ?

• Profiles: Divine Ventus, Divine Shingles, Divine Orbis, Divine Shake, Divine Vallic • Colors: 16 options including Walnut, Pepper, Marble, Teak, Cerulean, Claret, Terracotta, Forest, Sahara, Sunset, Cinnamon, Charcoal, Chocolate, Garnet, Black Pearl • Stock colors: Mainly Garnet, Charcoal, Terracotta, and Claret • Other colors available on order (approx. 35 days delivery).

What is the weight per square meter?

A tile weighs 3 kg, which equals about 6 kg per square meter.

Do you give any guarantees?

Yes, the tiles carry a 50-year manufacturer warranty.
